A backup only proves that data was copied. Whether it turns into a running system in an emergency is shown only by a test.
So plan a full restore onto a separate system at least once a year, and measure how long it takes.
- Which systems have to be running again first?
- How much data loss is acceptable?
- Who carries out the restore if the person in charge is away?
